*grr* and an update

Stupid Blogger wouldn't let me log in for the past few weeks, so i couldn't update anything.

ANYWAY.  Here's some new artstuff:

My one completed Bettie Page AP so far.  I really enjoyed doing this one, since it's a bit out of my comfort zone.

 Quite a difference in style/technique since i did those sketch cards almost a year and a half ago, lol. 

11x14 Thor commission.  Another piece i really enjoyed working on.  Last time i did any pencil work (rendering) was December 2007, so this was a nice way to crack back into it.

I have a bunch of commissions that i'm working on at the moment, so i'll be back with those soon =)

Whups!

I didn't forget about this place, i swear.

Now that it's been announced, i can officially state that I'm part of the upcoming Marvel Universe set from Rittenhouse Archives.  Unfortunately, i can't show any of the art from it yet, but hopefully, maybe the middle of October we'll be able to show it off.  If you're interested, more information can be found here.

But, i do have a few things i can show off until then =)

These were done for the Treasure Chest of Art project, which benefits the Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation.  My markers were left in a sorry state after I finished the MU cards, which required me to use watercolor on cardstock that reeeeeally didn't like it (marker-work on it was GORGEOUS though).  I also had a very limited amount of time to do these in, which makes me sad, because i would have liked for them to come out a bit nicer.

I'll be posting more art soon, such as things for Psion, which is hopefully on track again =)

More new stuff

Just a couple of other pieces i finished within the past couple weeks (aside from the buttload of cards i have sitting here)

Done as a 60th birthday gift for my best friend's devoutly catholic mother. I'm personally not religious, i consider myself to be spiritual more than anything, but this woman was a rock for me in my younger days, so i wanted to do something special for her.

Little known fact about me, the Italian Renaissance masters have taught me more and have influenced my artwork more than any other artist, lol.

I haven't had a lot of time to do personal commissions lately, but i was able to get these three out.

Yay, more DDs XD

Oy, i have sooooo much art to post, but i can't until it's all approved XP:::  That being said, I got permission to post three teasers for the upcoming Dungeon Dolls set from Axebone Studios, which was an absolutely amazing project (and person!) to work on/with.

Hopefully, i'll be able to post more art soon!  Worse comes to worse, i have an absolute assload of commissions coming up to whet your appetites with.

My Dungeon Dolls cards are finished, and in the mail now too.... now off to start on the next batch, lol.

Whee, boobies!

I have a LOT of art that i've done recently, but i can't post any of it yet until it either gets approved or the sets are released, lol.... that being said, we were allowed to post one piece of work that we did for the upcoming Bettie Page set from Versicolor productions, so after deliberating for a bit, i decided to post my base card art.

It's probably the only piece out of that entire set that i was actually happy with =\

Then and Now

I wanted to put this up, coz it kind of made me giggle a little.

When i was working on the Dangerous Divas set, I had a few moments where i had absolutely NO idea of what to draw.  There had been a number of cards i had done previously on the Marvel Masterpieces 3 set, that i just was NOT happy with how they turned out (there are a few in the Dangerous Divas set as well), so i decided to do something sort of selfish, and redraw a few of those cards i had done previously.

Here are the results, and as i had said, they made me giggle:

Now mind you, when i did the Masterpieces set, that was before i had switched over to Copic markers (actually, it was the impetus behind it).  I used my ancient set of Trias when i worked on it, half of which decided to stage overly dramatic deaths during the process.  That's why there's not a lot of color depth in most of the cards.

Still though.... it's heartening for me to see that i haven't stagnated artistically as much as i thought i had.  I still have a long ways to go though =)
